REGANOSA hires Galictio, S.A. for metallizing ORV vaporizers

Galictio has signed a contract with REGANOSA to carry out the treatment of open panel vaporizers (ORV).

When the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) arrives by ship, it is stored in the tanks in a liquid state (reducing its volume about 600 times), through the vaporizers the regasification process is carried out, to return the LNG to its gaseous state again. and distribute it through the gas pipeline network. The vaporizers are made up of pipes through which the LNG circulates and are bathed with seawater at room temperature. As LNG is at about -160 · Celsius, with the temperature difference the LNG is transformed into natural gas.

In order to carry out the surface treatment of the vaporizer, Galictio personnel were instructed and trained by personnel from Kobelco, manufacturer of the Vaporizers. In addition, the manufacturer's personnel carried out quality control of the project at all times, for optimal durability of the metal plating.

The treatment consisted of 5 phases: interior protection, cleaning, blasting, metallizing, painting.
