The naval company Galictio, owned by Isidro Silveira and based in Narón, has just closed a year in which it has completed the project it had underway in Uruguay, the country in which it landed in 2011. Thus, last December it delivered the multi-dredge vessel for the National Ports Authority of Montevideo and, throughout this month, it will be in charge of training the maritime organization's technicians in the handling of the vessel. Furthermore, in the year that is beginning, Galictio will negotiate the extension of the transfer of the Montevideo shipyard in which they have carried out all the works in the country, including three barges for the Montes de Plata shipping company, but conditional on obtaining more work. .
However, it is in the national territory where the company, which was created in 2010 by four firms from the region, will focus its expansion, although currently all the shares already fall into the hands of Silveira. Until now, Galictio, which has more than 80 workers and has exceeded a turnover of five million euros, had its main area of operation in the north of Spain, but it hopes to cover the entire peninsular geography this year.

This expansion has increased the need for storage space and new manufacturing workshops, which has led to a change of location for the firm, which, however, maintains its presence in the Río do Pozo industrial estate.

Silveira has started a project to involve the management team in the firm's shareholding and in a possible capital increase.
