Galictio starts its third ship in Uruguay

The Galictio consortium, formed by several auxiliary companies of the Ferrolterra naval company, is now entering the final months of its work in Uruguay, where it received the order for the construction of three barges for the Montes de Plata shipping company. It has already delivered the first two vessels, and has begun construction of the third and last.

At this moment there are a total of twelve blocks already placed on the slipway of the Naval Pole factory where the barge manufacturing work is being carried out and the forecast managed by those responsible for the industrial consortium is that the process of execution ends this year. At the end of the year, if expectations are met, it will be delivered to its owner.

Although the closure of Tecnymo, one of Galictio's industrial partners, raised the possibility that the Uruguayan work would be affected, in the end this was not the case and it continues as stipulated, generating employment for around 70 people.
At the same time, Galictio continues to look for new assignments in the country that will allow him to continue growing in the naval sector.
